Mamuthones are an Italian psychedelic and experimental music project founded by Alessio Gastaldello, known for creating hypnotic music that combines repetition, percussion, electronic textures and psychedelic rock. Emerging from Italy's adventurous underground music scene, Mamuthones have developed a distinctive identity through compositions that favour rhythm, atmosphere and gradual transformation. Their unconventional approach makes them a compelling choice for listeners drawn to experimental rock, psychedelia and alternative electronic sounds.
Across their recorded work, Mamuthones explore the possibilities of rhythm and repetition, creating tracks that can feel simultaneously primitive, futuristic and deeply immersive. Percussion often plays a central role, surrounded by synthesised textures, distorted instrumentation and persistent grooves. Rather than following conventional pop structures, the project allows musical ideas to develop organically, producing an absorbing sound that rewards attentive listening.
Live, Mamuthones translate this experimental approach into an intense and atmospheric performance. Repetitive rhythms, psychedelic textures and evolving arrangements can create a trance like environment where individual musical elements gradually merge into a larger sonic experience. For audiences interested in adventurous contemporary music, a Mamuthones concert offers an opportunity to encounter psychedelia and experimental sound in a particularly physical and immediate setting.
