Marika Hackman lives in Selborne, Hampshire (aka the centre of the universe) and is influenced by various artists such as Laura Veirs, The Shins and Joni Mitchell. She plays in a band with Alfie Johnson (cellist) and Flo Robson (backing vocals). She mainly plays guitar and sings, however she has a wide range of musical talents such as; piano, drums, bass guitar, accordian, maracas and the spoons. She has played in prestigious venues, such as the St Moritz Club and is rumoured to be the next big thing in that folky indie saucy culture.
