Memorial are a British folk duo whose intimate songwriting, delicate harmonies, and understated acoustic arrangements create music filled with warmth and emotional depth. Jack Watts and Oliver Spalding bring together their individual songwriting talents to create a collaborative sound rooted in friendship, reflection, and carefully crafted musicianship. Their self titled debut album introduced a collection of thoughtful songs shaped by folk traditions, while their evolving work has continued to explore personal experiences through subtle melodies and closely intertwined vocals.

Live, Memorial place songwriting and harmony at the heart of the experience. Acoustic instrumentation, gentle vocal interplay, and spacious arrangements allow the detail within each composition to emerge naturally, creating concerts that can feel remarkably intimate even in larger surroundings. Their musical chemistry is central to the performance, with the two musicians creating a sound that is restrained when needed and emotionally powerful when the songs begin to build.

For listeners drawn to contemporary folk, acoustic songwriting, and beautifully constructed vocal harmonies, a Memorial concert offers an opportunity to experience their music in its most immediate setting. Their combination of thoughtful lyrics, expressive musicianship, and understated performance makes Memorial a compelling live proposition for fans of modern folk and independent music.
