Mestrinho is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and accordionist whose music is deeply connected to forro and the rich musical traditions of northeastern Brazil. Born in Sergipe into a musical family, he developed his accordion playing from an early age and went on to establish himself as an accomplished performer. His musicianship combines respect for traditional Brazilian sounds with a contemporary sensibility, allowing his work to connect with audiences across generations.
The accordion sits at the heart of Mestrinho's musical identity, giving his performances the rhythmic and melodic character associated with forro while leaving room for influences from wider Brazilian popular music. His career has included collaborations with respected Brazilian musicians, while his own work demonstrates his abilities as both an instrumentalist and vocalist. This combination of technical skill and expressive performance has earned him recognition within Brazil's diverse music landscape.
Live, Mestrinho brings the warmth and movement of Brazilian music directly to the audience. Accordion melodies, danceable rhythms and expressive vocals create an atmosphere that can move naturally between intimate musical moments and lively celebration. For fans of forro, Brazilian popular music and exceptional instrumental performance, a Mestrinho concert offers an opportunity to experience a musician carrying an important tradition forward with personality and contemporary flair.
