Mock Tudors are a Sheffield garage-punk trio whose music combines brisk rhythms, glam influences and a distinctly British sense of humour. Formed by Ben Hall, Tom Diffenthal and Richard Birkin, the band turn everyday subjects into lively songs. Their DIY approach brings together punk energy, playful storytelling and a taste for the absurd.
The band's releases include Self Assessment, I am Bozo and Good Drinkin' Times. Their songs draw inspiration from familiar details of daily life, including recycling routines and community meetings, giving their garage-punk sound a character of its own. With short, energetic arrangements and stories drawn from ordinary situations, Mock Tudors make the mundane an unlikely source of musical inspiration.
Mock Tudors have taken their music on headline tours and supported acts including The Bug Club and The Futureheads. They have also performed live sessions for BBC Radio 6 Music. Their shows offer audiences the chance to experience the trio's fast-moving songs and offbeat humour in person, whether discovering the band for the first time or returning to favourites from their releases.
