Moni Jitchell are a Glasgow based two piece known for creating an enormous sound from a stripped back setup. Combining drums, bass and vocals with the speed, aggression and directness of hardcore and punk, the duo deliver music that values intensity over excess and turns minimal instrumentation into something ferocious.
Their compact approach gives the music little room for unnecessary decoration, placing rhythm, distortion and raw momentum at the forefront. Drawing from the energy of underground punk and hardcore, Moni Jitchell create short, forceful music that demonstrates how much impact can be generated by just two musicians working in complete rhythmic lockstep.
Live, that economy becomes one of the band's greatest strengths. Drums and bass hit with physical immediacy, while the lack of additional layers makes every rhythmic change feel exposed and powerful. For audiences who like their punk fast, abrasive and direct, a Moni Jitchell show offers an intense grassroots experience without unnecessary distractions.
