Nick Cave is one of the most compelling and distinctive voices in contemporary music. As the frontman of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, he has built a career spanning over four decades, renowned for his darkly poetic songwriting, commanding stage presence, and ability to move effortlessly between raw intensity and fragile intimacy.

Born in Australia, Cave first gained recognition in the post-punk band The Birthday Party before forming The Bad Seeds in 1983. With The Bad Seeds, he developed a unique sound blending rock, blues, gospel, and experimental influences, while his lyrics explored themes of love, death, faith, and redemption. Albums such as Tender Prey, Murder Ballads, The Boatman’s Call, and Ghosteen have cemented his reputation as one of music’s most powerful storytellers.

Classic Bad Seeds!

London, Hammersmith Apollo, 26/10/2013

Ive seen the Bad Seeds several times and this was one of the best performances yet. They played songs from the new album Push the Sky Away but also kept the crowd happy with a good selection of classic Bad Seed numbers such as Stagger Lee and Jangling Jack. Nicks energy on stage was as infectious as always and even after a generous set and encore the crowd still brayed for more. Loved it!

Excellent concert

London, Gaumont Palace (Hammersmith Odeon), 28/10/2013

A very good evening at the Hammersmith Odeon (formally the Gaumont Palace). Nick Cave did an excellent set of old and new songs. The band were very tight and musically magnificent. The lighting was good, and the blinders didnt blind. My only caveat was that Nick played 90 of the evening to the front two rows. Id have thought that he especially would have played to the gods.
