Nine Below Zero & Dr Feelgood brings together two names closely associated with the raw energy of British rhythm and blues. Nine Below Zero emerged from London at the end of the 1970s, combining blues influences with the urgency of punk era Britain, while Dr Feelgood became one of the defining bands of the pub rock movement through their stripped back rhythm and blues sound. Together, their music represents a tradition built on powerful grooves, sharp musicianship and direct live performance.
Nine Below Zero established their reputation through releases including "Live at the Marquee", "Don't Point Your Finger" and "Third Degree", with harmonica, guitar and energetic rhythms at the heart of their sound. Dr Feelgood became renowned through songs such as "Roxette", "Back in the Night" and the UK number one album "Stupidity". Their influence can be heard across generations of British rock, punk and rhythm and blues artists who followed.
Live, Nine Below Zero & Dr Feelgood offers an evening rooted in the excitement of bands playing directly to an audience with rhythm, guitars and harmonica doing the heavy lifting. Both names have long histories connected with energetic stages and audiences who appreciate blues based rock without unnecessary decoration. For fans of British rhythm and blues, pub rock and classic live guitar music, this pairing provides an opportunity to experience songs and sounds that have remained part of the UK live music landscape for decades.
