Nortec Collective emerged from Tijuana, Mexico, with a groundbreaking fusion of electronic music and traditional sounds from northern Mexico. Formed around a collective of producers and visual artists, the project became internationally recognised for combining techno and electronic production with elements associated with banda and norteno music, creating the distinctive style that became known as Nortec.

The collective helped place the Tijuana electronic scene on the international map, with releases including "The Tijuana Sessions Vol. 1" and "Tijuana Sessions Vol. 3" introducing their innovative approach to audiences around the world. Members and projects associated with Nortec Collective have included Bostich, Fussible, Hiperboreal and Clorofila, each contributing different ideas to a musical identity built around cultural exchange and electronic experimentation.

In a live environment, Nortec Collective's combination of electronic rhythms and Mexican musical influences becomes an energetic celebration of sound and movement. Dance focused beats meet brass, percussion and regional influences, creating performances that can appeal equally to electronic music audiences and listeners interested in adventurous global sounds. A Nortec Collective concert offers the opportunity to experience one of Mexico's most distinctive electronic music movements in a powerful live setting.
