Peter Doherty & Frederic Lo bring together the British singer-songwriter and Libertines musician with the French composer, musician and producer. Their collaboration combines Doherty's lyrical storytelling with Lo's melodies and arrangements, creating music that draws on both artists' individual backgrounds. Together, they explore a melodic sound that gives space to the words and music at the centre of their partnership.
The pair released their collaborative album The Fantasy Life of Poetry & Crime in 2022. Developed in France, the record features music and melodies by Lo alongside lyrics by Doherty, including the title track and You Can't Keep It From Me Forever. Their partnership grew from an earlier musical collaboration and brought the two artists together to create a full collection of songs.
In performance, Peter Doherty & Frederic Lo offer audiences the opportunity to hear the songs from their collaboration brought to life. Their work together places Doherty's voice and words alongside Lo's compositions, giving listeners another perspective on both musicians. For fans of melodic songwriting and artistic collaborations, their music offers a distinctive meeting of British and French musical sensibilities.
