PICT are a Nottingham five-piece whose music draws on folk, indie rock and post-rock. Describing their sound as post-folk, the band combine vocal harmonies and detailed arrangements with songs that move between quieter passages and powerful climaxes. Their work brings the storytelling tradition of folk into an experimental live band setting.
The band's early releases include I've Never Met Anyone I Thought I Could Really Love and Don't Throw Rocks. Following their debut EP, PICT continued to develop material that explores the contrast between delicate melodies and more forceful arrangements. Their songwriting places voices and instruments alongside one another to create a varied and expressive sound.
PICT have performed around the UK, including shows supporting Westside Cowboy and Shaking Hand. Their live appearances have also included hometown performances in Nottingham and festival stages. For audiences interested in adventurous folk and alternative music, the band's concerts offer a chance to experience the dynamics of their songs in person.
