Piri is a British singer and songwriter who emerged as one of the distinctive new voices in UK electronic pop, combining catchy vocals with influences from drum and bass, dance music and internet era pop culture. She first gained widespread attention through music created with producer Tommy Villiers, with tracks including "soft spot" introducing a bright, playful sound that connected contemporary pop songwriting with the energy of UK club music.
Her music blends light, melodic vocals with fast electronic rhythms, bass driven production and hooks built for repeat listening. Piri's rise reflects a new generation of British artists comfortable moving between pop, dance and underground electronic influences without treating them as separate worlds. Songs including "on and on" further established her upbeat approach and helped bring drum and bass influenced pop to a wider audience.
Live, Piri's music becomes an energetic celebration of pop and club culture, with rapid beats and infectious melodies creating an atmosphere made for dancing. Her performances translate the colourful character of the recordings into a shared experience where electronic production and pop personality meet. For fans of drum and bass, dance pop and forward looking UK electronic music, seeing Piri live offers the chance to hear her biggest tracks in the environment they were made to energise.
