Rhythm Of Africa Vol. 2 Feat. Dele Sosimi celebrates the irresistible rhythms, musicianship and cultural influence of African music through an energetic live experience. At the heart of the event is Dele Sosimi, the Nigerian British musician and bandleader widely associated with Afrobeat, a style driven by interlocking rhythms, powerful horn arrangements, keyboards and extended grooves designed to move both body and mind.
Dele Sosimi has deep roots in Afrobeat history, having performed with Fela Kuti's Egypt 80 before becoming musical director of Femi Kuti's Positive Force. His subsequent work as a bandleader, composer and performer has helped carry Afrobeat forward for new generations of listeners. His keyboard playing and commanding musical direction combine the foundations of the genre with an individual approach shaped by decades of performance experience.
Rhythm Of Africa Vol. 2 brings this musical energy into a live setting where percussion, rhythm and improvisation can fully unfold. With Dele Sosimi featured in the programme, audiences can expect an event centred on musicianship and the infectious momentum of Afrobeat. For established followers of African music and newcomers ready to discover its rhythmic power, the concert offers an opportunity to experience these sounds where they belong, live and surrounded by an audience ready to move.
