Rioghnach Connolly & Honeyfeet bring together powerful vocals, adventurous musicianship and an eclectic mixture of folk, soul, blues, jazz and groove driven music. Connolly, an Irish singer and flautist, is known for an expressive vocal style and wide ranging musical approach, while Honeyfeet provide a vibrant setting in which traditional influences and contemporary rhythms can meet.
Honeyfeet have developed a reputation for refusing to stay within a single genre, drawing from blues, folk, funk and soul while allowing each musician room to contribute to the character of the band. Connolly's distinctive voice sits at the centre of that sound, moving from intimate storytelling to commanding performances while flute and richly textured instrumentation add further colour.
Live, Rioghnach Connolly & Honeyfeet turn their stylistic range into an energetic and unpredictable concert experience. Quiet passages can give way to infectious grooves, while expressive vocals and accomplished musicianship keep the focus firmly on performance. For audiences interested in folk traditions, soul, blues and music that crosses genre boundaries, their shows offer an engaging combination of musicianship, personality and rhythmic energy.
