Roger Waters is an English musician, songwriter and composer best known as a co founder and creative force behind Pink Floyd, one of the most influential rock bands of all time. As bassist, vocalist and songwriter, Waters played a central role in landmark albums including The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall. His conceptual songwriting, distinctive lyrics and ambitious approach to album construction helped shape progressive rock and left a lasting influence on popular music.
After leaving Pink Floyd in the 1980s, Waters continued exploring ambitious musical and conceptual ideas through his solo career. Albums including The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking, Radio K.A.O.S., Amused to Death and Is This the Life We Really Want? expanded his catalogue beyond Pink Floyd. His work frequently explores subjects including conflict, political power, isolation, personal relationships and the human consequences of war, combining rock music with detailed narratives and theatrical presentation.
Roger Waters concerts are known for transforming rock music into large scale audiovisual productions. Elaborate staging, projections, dramatic lighting and immersive sound accompany songs from his solo catalogue and material associated with Pink Floyd, creating performances that combine music, theatre and visual storytelling. For audiences who want to experience some of progressive rock's most significant compositions in an ambitious live environment, a Roger Waters concert offers a distinctive combination of iconic songs, musicianship and spectacle.
