Rome is the musical project led by Luxembourg born singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist Jerome Reuter. Since forming the project in 2005, Reuter has developed a distinctive sound that combines neofolk, post industrial music, dark folk and atmospheric songwriting. With a deep vocal style and an interest in history, literature and European culture, Rome has established a dedicated international following and a catalogue defined by ambitious themes and carefully crafted musical arrangements.
Across an extensive discography, Rome has explored acoustic songwriting, martial rhythms, electronic textures and cinematic atmospheres. Releases including Flowers From Exile, Masse Mensch Material and The Hyperion Machine demonstrate the project's ability to move between intimate compositions and broader, dramatic soundscapes. Reuter's songwriting frequently places storytelling at the centre, giving Rome a recognisable identity within the European alternative music scene.
Live, Rome translates this atmospheric catalogue into an intense and immersive concert experience. Reuter's commanding vocals and carefully arranged instrumentation give the songs additional weight on stage, while quieter passages create moments of intimacy and reflection. For listeners interested in neofolk, dark alternative music and songwriting with a literary character, a Rome concert offers the opportunity to experience a distinctive musical world in person.
