Ruts DC Present The Ruts celebrates the music and enduring legacy of one of the most distinctive bands to emerge from the British punk movement. The Ruts formed in London in the late 1970s and quickly developed a powerful sound that combined punk rock with reggae and dub influences. Songs including "Babylon's Burning", "In a Rut" and "Staring at the Rude Boys" became defining tracks of their catalogue, demonstrating a musical identity that extended well beyond the conventional boundaries of punk.

Following the death of original frontman Malcolm Owen in 1980, the remaining musicians continued as Ruts DC, developing their sound further while maintaining their connection to The Ruts catalogue. Over the decades, Ruts DC have continued performing and recording, preserving the spirit of the original band while introducing their music to new generations. Ruts DC Present The Ruts places particular emphasis on this influential history, bringing classic material back to the live stage.

Live, Ruts DC Present The Ruts delivers the urgency, rhythm and raw energy that made these songs such an important part of British punk. Driving guitars, powerful bass lines and reggae influenced grooves create a performance that connects the rebellious atmosphere of the late 1970s with the experience of a contemporary concert. For longtime followers and audiences discovering the band's music for the first time, the show offers an opportunity to experience an influential punk catalogue performed live by musicians closely connected to its history.
