Samiam are an American punk rock band formed in Berkeley, California, in 1988. Emerging from the influential East Bay punk scene, the band developed a distinctive sound combining the urgency and energy of punk with melodic guitars, emotionally direct songwriting and introspective lyrics. Over the decades, Samiam have earned a dedicated international following and established themselves as an influential name in melodic punk, alternative rock and the music that would later become associated with emo.

Throughout their career, Samiam have released a respected catalogue that includes albums such as Billy, Clumsy, You Are Freaking Me Out, Astray and Stowaway. Songs including "Capsized", "Sunshine" and "She Found You" showcase the band's ability to balance powerful guitar driven arrangements with memorable melodies and deeply personal songwriting. Their combination of punk intensity and emotional vulnerability has helped their music remain relevant to successive generations of alternative music fans.

Live, Samiam bring the energy and sincerity of their recordings directly to the stage, delivering performances driven by muscular guitars, melodic hooks and Jason Beebout's distinctive vocals. Their concerts connect decades of material, giving longtime listeners the chance to revisit favourites while introducing newer audiences to the band's influential sound. For fans of melodic punk, emo and alternative rock, seeing Samiam live offers an opportunity to experience a band whose music has helped shape the genre while retaining its independent spirit.
