Slap Rash are an experimental punk duo made up of siblings Amelia and Huw Lloyd. With Amelia on drums and vocals and Huw on bass, the pair create an expansive sound from a compact line-up. Their music draws on punk, hardcore and post-punk, combining powerful rhythms and bass lines with electronic textures.
The duo's releases include Catherine Special and the single Chokeheld, showcasing an approach that moves between direct punk energy and more experimental arrangements. Slap Rash have cited artists including METZ, 7 Year Bitch and Lightning Bolt among their influences. Their combination of drums, bass, vocals and electronics gives them room to explore heavy and unexpected sounds.
Slap Rash have performed across the UK and appeared alongside other alternative acts, including supporting Maruja. Their live shows bring the duo's instrumental interplay to the stage, giving audiences the chance to hear how their bass-led sound takes shape in person. For fans of experimental punk and heavy, rhythm-driven music, Slap Rash offer a distinctive live experience.
