Soak is the musical project of Northern Irish singer songwriter Bridie Monds Watson, an acclaimed artist known for intimate songwriting, expressive vocals and emotionally detailed indie music. Emerging from Derry at a young age, Soak attracted widespread attention with songs that explored identity, relationships and growing up with striking honesty. The debut album, Before We Forgot How to Dream, was released in 2015 and received a nomination for the Mercury Prize, establishing Soak as a distinctive voice in contemporary alternative music.

Across subsequent releases, Soak has continued to expand a sound that moves between indie rock, alternative pop and reflective singer songwriter music. Albums including Grim Town and If I Never Know You Like This Again demonstrate an evolving approach to songwriting, pairing personal lyrics with arrangements that range from understated and intimate to expansive and energetic. This willingness to explore both vulnerability and musical experimentation has remained central to Soak's appeal.

Live, Soak's songs gain an additional sense of immediacy, with intimate lyrics and expressive melodies creating a close connection between performer and audience. Quieter moments can command attention through their emotional detail, while fuller arrangements bring energy and contrast to the set. For fans of thoughtful indie music, alternative songwriting and performances built around genuine musical expression, a Soak concert offers the opportunity to experience a compelling catalogue in a powerful live setting.
