Testament and Obituary bring together two legendary names in American heavy metal, offering fans a formidable combination of thrash metal precision and death metal power. Testament emerged from the influential San Francisco Bay Area thrash scene, while Florida pioneers Obituary helped define the sound of death metal with their crushing riffs, distinctive vocals and uncompromising approach. Together, the bands represent decades of metal history and an enduring commitment to heavy music.
Testament built their reputation with landmark releases including The Legacy, The New Order and Practice What You Preach, developing a sound driven by technical guitar work, powerful rhythms and the commanding vocals of Chuck Billy. Obituary established an equally important legacy with albums such as Slowly We Rot and Cause of Death, records that became influential touchstones for generations of extreme metal musicians and fans.
Live, Testament and Obituary deliver the volume, intensity and musicianship expected from two veterans of the international metal scene. Testament combine rapid thrash riffs with commanding stage presence, while Obituary bring a slower, heavier and relentlessly crushing dimension to the bill. For fans of thrash metal, death metal and uncompromising live music, seeing these two influential bands together promises an evening built around riffs, energy and metal history.
