The Best Thieves are a 15-piece ensemble performing original folk-rock music. Bringing together a cast of experienced musicians, the group combine the energy of rock with folk influences in performances designed for the stage. Their large line-up gives them the scope to create a sound that draws on both musical detail and spectacle.
The band's approach brings together the raucous spirit associated with The Pogues, the dark intensity of Alex Harvey and the musicality and spectacle of Bellowhead. These influences inform their original material, creating a blend of folk and rock that makes use of the musicians and performers across the ensemble.
Live, The Best Thieves bring their original songs to audiences through performances featuring the full cast. Their shows offer the chance to experience the scale of the ensemble and the interaction between its musicians in person. For fans of folk-rock and theatrical live music, The Best Thieves combine their varied influences in a performance of their own.
