Biography - The Darkness

The Darkness tickets at Eventim.co.uk – your link to everything The Darkness – concerts, tours, tickets, news and reviews.

The Darkness, Britain’s flamboyant rock revivalists, exploded onto the early 2000s music scene with their massive hit “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” and haven’t stopped thrilling fans with their outrageous riffs, soaring falsettos, and tongue-in-cheek theatrics since. Fronted by the magnetic Justin Hawkins, the band reintroduced glam-infused hard rock to a new generation, blending the spirit of Queen and AC/DC with a modern twist and a cheeky sense of humour. Their debut album Permission to Land became a multi-platinum success, making them one of the most recognisable and entertaining acts of the era.

Over the years, The Darkness have built a reputation for consistently delivering albums packed with arena-sized hooks and blistering guitar solos, including fan favourites like One Way Ticket to Hell... and Back, Easter Is Cancelled, and Motorheart. More than just a throwback, the band continues to evolve their sound while staying true to their over-the-top, unapologetically theatrical rock roots.

Live, The Darkness are a spectacle not to be missed. Their concerts are high-energy celebrations of rock and roll excess complete with skin-tight catsuits, singalong anthems, and a level of showmanship rarely seen in modern music. Fans consistently praise the band's technical precision, tongue-in-cheek charm, and ability to turn every venue into a full-blown rock opera.

Truly awesome! Thank god they have reformed! Shame the evening had to end. Peerless guitar from Dan, wonderful showmanship by Justin. A pity they werent doing consecutive nights otherwise I would have gone straight out for a ticket for the next show.

They get better every time I see them

London, Hammersmith Apollo, 07/03/2013

Ive seen the darkness 4 times now. And this was the best. They really do get better every time that I see them. The band were so in tune with each other and united in putting on a great show. Justin Hawkins guitar talents are out of this world. Hes a brilliant frontman. He had the whole crowd ringing out of his hand! Brilliant intro to the gig. It showed everyone that they are more than a band, they are a family. The Crowd chanting darkness...darkness in between every song was very moving. In tr...

Fabulous as ever

London, Hammersmith Apollo, 07/03/2013

Few bands have the capacity to whip their crowd into a frenzy quite like The Darkness. They appeal to all ages..I can vouch for as my 18 year old daughter was with us. My 15 year old son and his two mates were also there but wouldnt be seen dead with us so we respectfully stayed a bit further back from the front. I love the Apollo, you never feel too far away from the stage and there is always a good atmosphere with the added bonus of a bar inside the auditorium. The Darkness have to be my favou...
