The Driver Era, stylized as THE DRIVER ERΛ, is an American music duo formed by brothers Rocky and Ross Lynch. Emerging from the dissolution of their previous band R5, The Driver Era was officially introduced to fans in March 2018. Their debut single "Preacher Man" quickly garnered attention and praise within the alternative and indie music scenes. The duo's name, The Driver Era, was born from a conversation during a car ride, symbolizing the direction of their music.

Since their inception, The Driver Era has maintained a steady stream of releases, including singles like "Afterglow" and "Low", which showcased Rocky Lynch's vocal talents alongside Ross Lynch's. Their debut studio album, "X", was released in June 2019, featuring a mix of previously released singles and new tracks. Following the album's success, the duo continued to captivate audiences with singles like "A Kiss" and "Forever Always".

Despite challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, The Driver Era remained active, releasing singles such as "OMG Plz Don’t Come Around" and "Flashdrive" in anticipation of their second album. In April 2021, they unveiled their single "Heaven Angel", followed by "Girlfriend", which marked the release of their second studio album. The subsequent "The Girlfriend Tour" took them across the US, Asia, Australia, and Europe in both 2021 and 2022.

Continuing their momentum, The Driver Era treated fans to new music in 2022 with singles like "Keep Moving Forward" featuring Nikka Costa, and "Malibu". Their third studio album, "Summer Mixtape", was announced in August 2022 and released the following month, showcasing their evolving sound and enduring creativity.
