The Gorillaz Experience In Liverpool! celebrates the music and distinctive creative world associated with Gorillaz, bringing a catalogue of genre crossing songs into a live setting. Gorillaz, created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, changed the possibilities of the traditional band format by combining animated characters with an adventurous musical approach spanning alternative rock, hip hop, electronic music, pop, dub and much more.
Across a catalogue featuring songs such as "Clint Eastwood", "Feel Good Inc.", "DARE" and "On Melancholy Hill", the music of Gorillaz has attracted listeners from across generations and genres. Albums including Gorillaz, Demon Days and Plastic Beach established a musical universe filled with memorable collaborations, infectious rhythms and instantly recognisable melodies, giving a Gorillaz themed live experience an extensive selection of material to explore.
The Gorillaz Experience In Liverpool! offers fans the opportunity to celebrate these songs together in a live environment, where familiar basslines, choruses and electronic textures can take on fresh energy. For dedicated Gorillaz followers and listeners looking for a night packed with recognisable alternative hits, the event brings the spirit of this inventive catalogue to Liverpool and creates an opportunity to experience the music beyond the original recordings.
