The Heavy North are a Liverpool based rock band delivering a powerful blend of blues, garage rock and contemporary rock and roll. Formed around musicians with a shared passion for guitar driven music, the band have developed a sound characterised by gritty vocals, heavy riffs, blues influenced grooves and a strong rhythmic foundation. Their combination of classic influences and modern energy has helped them build a growing reputation within the UK independent rock scene.
The Heavy North have expanded their audience through independent releases and regular live appearances, developing their sound through songs that balance muscular guitar work with memorable melodies. Their music draws inspiration from blues rock and garage traditions without simply recreating the past, using those foundations to create material with its own contemporary character. This approach has made the band an appealing choice for listeners searching for modern British rock with plenty of weight and swagger.
Live, The Heavy North bring their songs to life with the volume and energy that guitar driven rock demands. Blues inspired riffs, driving drums and forceful vocals create a performance designed for packed venues, while the band's experience on the live circuit gives their shows an immediate and confident character. For fans of blues rock, garage rock and emerging British guitar music, a The Heavy North concert offers an energetic night of riffs, rhythm and modern rock and roll.
