The Hives is a Swedish rock band that formed in Fagersta in 1993. The group consists of Howlin' Pelle Almqvist (vocals), Nicholaus Arson (guitar), Vigilante Carlstroem (guitar), Dr. Matt Destruction (bass), and Chris Dangerous (drums). Known for their energetic performances and stylish attire, The Hives became renowned for their brand of garage rock infused with punk and garage rock revival influences.

The band gained international recognition with the release of their breakthrough album, "Veni Vidi Vicious" in 2000. The album spawned the hit singles "Hate to Say I Told You So" and "Main Offender," which showcased The Hives' raw and frenetic sound, propelled by catchy riffs and Almqvist's distinctive vocals.

With their sharp, high-energy performances and a tongue-in-cheek attitude, The Hives built a reputation as an electrifying live act.
