THE ORB & SYSTEM 7 brings together two pioneering names in British electronic music for an event steeped in ambient, techno and psychedelic dance culture. The Orb became one of the defining acts of ambient house, while System 7 developed their own distinctive fusion of techno, psychedelic sounds and electronic experimentation.
The Orb, founded by Alex Paterson, helped reshape electronic music with expansive compositions and landmark releases including "The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld". System 7, formed by Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy, brought influences from progressive and psychedelic music into the evolving world of electronic dance music.
Together on a live bill, THE ORB & SYSTEM 7 offer audiences an opportunity to experience artists whose work helped expand the possibilities of electronic music. Atmospheric soundscapes, hypnotic rhythms and psychedelic textures make this an enticing event for longtime followers and listeners exploring the roots of alternative electronic music.
