The Teskey Brothers, an Australian blues-rock band hailing from Melbourne, are fronted by the Teskey brothers, Josh Teskey (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Sam Teskey (lead guitar). Formed in 2008, the band quickly gained recognition for their soulful sound, reminiscent of classic blues and rock. In 2019, they signed with Glassnote Records and Ivy League Records.
Their discography includes three albums: "Half Mile Harvest" (2017), "Run Home Slow" (2019), and "The Winding Way" (2023). The Teskey Brothers have received accolades, including nominations at the 2019 ARIA Music Awards. They won three awards for "Run Home Slow," including Best Group, Best Blues and Roots Album, and Engineer of the Year (awarded to Sam Teskey).
The band's journey began with the Teskey brothers, Brendon Love (bass), and Liam Gough (drums) playing on the streets and at parties. Their debut album, "Half Mile Harvest," released in 2017, quickly gained attention and topped the ARIA Independent Album charts. They followed their success by signing with Downtown Music Publishing in 2018, Glassnote Records, Ivy League Records, and Mushroom Music Publishing in 2019.
Their second album, "Run Home Slow," was released in 2019 and reached number two on the ARIA Charts. This album won several ARIA Awards, including Engineer of the Year for Sam Teskey. The band contributed to the soundtrack of the 2019 film "Palm Beach."
In 2020, The Teskey Brothers released their first live album, "Live at the Forum," and in April 2021, they paid tribute to Michael Gudinski with a cover of INXS' "Never Tear Us Apart."
They also announced their third album, "The Winding Way," in early 2023, featuring singles like "This Will Be Our Year" and "Oceans of Emotions." The band continues to captivate audiences with their soulful and timeless music.
