The Traitors, Acts of Betrayal brings the deception, paranoia and psychological intrigue of the television phenomenon The Traitors to the West End in an original new stage play. Written by Olivier Award winning playwright John Finnemore and directed by Robert Hastie, the production takes audiences into the familiar world of Faithfuls and Traitors while telling a completely new story created specifically for the theatre. Expect shifting alliances, dangerous secrets and the constant question at the heart of The Traitors, who can you really trust?
Set in the Highlands, The Traitors, Acts of Betrayal begins with a premise familiar to millions of viewers before taking the story in an unexpected direction. From Monday to Friday, events unfold differently each night, with characters who are banished or murdered in one version potentially emerging victorious in another. Each performance stands alone as a complete drama, while together the different versions create a wider portrait of eight people under pressure and reveal the true colours of each character.
Saturday performances introduce another twist, putting an important decision into the hands of the audience. Theatregoers decide who will wear the cloak, with their choice determining in real time which version of the story will be performed that afternoon or evening. Produced by the teams behind The Traitors UK, Studio Lambert and Neal Street Productions, the play combines the tension and strategic deception of the television series with the immediacy and unpredictability of live theatre.
For fans of The Traitors and audiences who enjoy suspense, mystery and inventive West End theatre, The Traitors, Acts of Betrayal offers a new way to enter a world where trust can disappear in an instant. With multiple versions of the story, audience controlled performances and a narrative shaped by betrayal and changing alliances, repeat visits can reveal entirely different outcomes and perspectives.
