The Velvet Hands are a British rock band known for energetic guitar music that draws on garage rock, punk and classic rock and roll. Formed in Cornwall and developing their reputation through the London live scene, the band have built an identity around sharp riffs, infectious hooks and an attitude filled approach to songwriting. Their sound combines the immediacy of punk with the swagger and melody of traditional guitar driven rock.
Through releases and extensive live performances, The Velvet Hands have established themselves as a band designed for the stage. Their songs favour direct melodies, driving rhythms and guitars that give the music a raw and immediate quality. The Sept/Oct Tour gives audiences another opportunity to experience the band's evolving catalogue while celebrating the energetic style that has helped them develop a dedicated following.
Live, The Velvet Hands turn their rock and roll influences into fast moving performances built around volume, movement and audience connection. Their music naturally suits intimate venues where the distance between band and crowd disappears and every guitar riff gains additional impact. For fans of garage rock, indie rock and modern bands carrying the spirit of punk forward, The Velvet Hands offer a lively concert experience with plenty of attitude.
