The Chats are an Australian punk rock band from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, known for their raw energy, irreverent humour and unapologetically loud sound. Formed in 2016, the band quickly gained international attention with their viral hit "Smoko", a rebellious anthem that captured their distinctive blend of pub rock, punk attitude and everyday Australian humour. Led by vocalist and bassist Eamon Sandwith, The Chats have become one of Australia's most exciting modern punk exports, drawing inspiration from classic bands such as the Ramones, the Saints and Cosmic Psychos while developing a sound that is unmistakably their own.

Their debut album, "High Risk Behaviour", released in 2020, established The Chats as a major force in contemporary punk rock, featuring fan favourites including "Pub Feed", "Identity Theft" and "The Clap". Their second album, "Get Fucked", followed in 2022, delivering another collection of fast, gritty and humorous tracks that reinforced their reputation for uncompromising rock music. With infectious guitar riffs, pounding drums and Sandwith's distinctive vocal delivery, the band have built a dedicated international following, earning recognition for their energetic songwriting and authentic approach to punk culture.

Live, The Chats deliver a relentless explosion of punk rock energy, transforming venues into chaotic celebrations of loud guitars, rapid rhythms and rebellious spirit. Their concerts are packed with fast paced performances, infectious singalong choruses and the kind of spontaneous atmosphere that makes punk music so exciting. From intimate club shows to major international festivals, The Chats bring the same uncompromising intensity to every stage, creating an electrifying connection with audiences who appreciate their humour, attitude and straightforward musical approach.
