A prodigal musician from an early age, Tillla grew up in Bath before gaining a scholarship to Purcell (whose alumni include Mica Levi, Tirzah and Jacob Collier) at the age of 16 and moving to London. During his time at Purcell he discovered electronic music production, in particular modular synthesis, applying academic rigor to the pursuit of synth perfection that he had to learning the piano as a child.

At a time when anyone can pick up a copy of Logic and it’s array of virtual synthesisers it is notable when a genuine musician takes hold of the reins. Tillla’s musicality, playing and programming skills are genuinely next level and whilst his songwriting also matches up to the very best of his contemporaries it is the sonic pictures he paints that define him as a world class prospect.

Tillla’s first three single releases - Alice In Wonderland, Adolescence & I Owe It All To You - came across late 2023 and early 2024, picking up spins at BBC Radio 1 and 6Music. An aura of mystique surrounds Tillla online, where he has only posted a handful of times, but his two short performance videos leave no one in doubt that his first show on the 1st May at Bermondsey Social Club will be the gig of the week for anyone interested in alternative electronic music.
