Tinariwen are a Grammy-winning collective of Tuareg musicians whose hypnotic desert blues has captivated audiences around the world. Formed in the late 1970s in the Sahara region of northern Mali, the group blend traditional Tuareg melodies with electric guitars, poetic lyricism, and an unmistakable sense of atmosphere that evokes the vast expanse of the desert.
