Toto are an iconic American rock band whose combination of rock, pop, soul, funk and progressive influences has created some of the most recognisable songs in popular music. Formed in Los Angeles in 1977 by a group of highly accomplished session musicians, Toto quickly established themselves through exceptional musicianship, polished songwriting and sophisticated production. Their enduring catalogue includes worldwide favourites such as "Africa", "Rosanna", "Hold the Line" and "I'll Be Over You", songs that continue to introduce the band to new generations of listeners.
The band's international breakthrough reached another level with the album Toto IV, which featured "Africa" and "Rosanna" and earned Toto major recognition at the Grammy Awards. Across decades of recording and touring, the group has explored everything from powerful arena rock and melodic pop to jazz influenced arrangements and intricate instrumental passages. Toto's influence extends beyond their own recordings, with members of the band contributing their talents to numerous landmark albums and songs by other major artists.
Live, Toto bring their extensive catalogue to the stage with the technical skill, powerful arrangements and melodic precision that have defined their career. Their concerts combine major hits with deeper selections for longtime followers, giving audiences the opportunity to hear songs created by musicians renowned for their instrumental ability. From the opening notes of "Hold the Line" to the unmistakable chorus of "Africa", a Toto concert offers memorable singalong moments alongside outstanding live musicianship.
