VIOLENT MAGIC ORCHESTRA is a Japanese experimental music and visual art project that brings together black metal, techno, industrial music, noise and gabber. Also known as VMO, the collective creates an intense sound that moves between heavy guitar textures, electronic rhythms and high-energy dance music.
Featuring musicians associated with the experimental group Vampillia, vocalist ZASTAR and visual artist Kezzardrix, the project combines music and visual art as central parts of its identity. Its performances have taken the collective to festivals and venues across Europe and Asia, including Roadburn Festival and Le Guess Who?.
Live, VIOLENT MAGIC ORCHESTRA combines powerful sound with strobes, smoke and live visuals. The result is an audiovisual performance that brings the intensity of a metal show together with the energy of a rave, appealing to listeners who enjoy adventurous music across the boundaries of heavy and electronic genres.
