YAANG are a Manchester based band bringing together post punk, electronic music and dance driven rhythms in a sound designed for movement. Combining sharp guitars, propulsive percussion and electronic textures, the group channel the restless energy of the Manchester alternative scene while developing an identity of their own. Their music moves between the urgency of a live rock band and the rhythmic intensity of club music, creating tracks that feel equally suited to independent venues and late night dance floors.
The band's approach is built around momentum, repetition and energetic arrangements, drawing together elements of post punk, dance punk and electronic experimentation. Tight rhythms provide the foundation for angular instrumentation and vocals, giving YAANG a sound that can feel raw and immediate while remaining strongly focused on groove. Their fusion of guitar music and electronic influences places them within a contemporary wave of artists challenging the traditional boundaries between bands and dance music.
Live, YAANG turn that rhythmic approach into a fast moving and physical concert experience. Driving beats, guitars and electronic elements combine with the energy of the crowd, creating performances where dancing feels as natural as watching the musicians on stage. For audiences interested in emerging UK alternative music, post punk and electronic sounds, a YAANG concert offers an opportunity to experience the band's music in the environment where its energy can have its greatest impact.
