It is a five minute walk from bus stops on Centenary Square. It is across from the National Media Museum and down from Bradford College and Univeristy.

Park at the Leisure Exchange Car Park near St. George's Hall and only pay £2 for four hours, alternatively park at NCP Hall Ings or NCP Southgate and only pay £3.50 for 4 hours with a valid voucher. Vouchers are available from our Box Office when you buy your tickets or can be requested from the Box Office prior to the beginning of the show. (Vouchers must be presented during payment before leaving the Car Park for the discount price to be applicable).
Designated parking spaces are available for people with disabilities coming to a performance at the Alhambra. The spaces are on Morley Street and on Randall Well Street. Please access the Morley Street spaces using Great Horton Road at the side of the Alhambra. There is a drop-off and pick up point in the lay-by outside St. George's Hall on Bridge Street for people using wheelchairs or with mobility difficulties.

Venue
St. George's Hall is renowned for exceptional acoustics and an intimate atmosphere. The venue seats over 1,500 people and is a popular choice of the best of British music from Mumford & Son's, Paul Weller, Jools Holland & Morrisey and top stand up comedians including Sarah Millican, Reginald D Hunter and Jason Manford. The venue hosts one of the UKs longest running Orchestral Seasons, with the Hallé as resident orchestra. The hall also attracts big names in variety entertainment and receives regular children's shows and amateur productions.

Physical Access to the Venues
Wheelchair Access There are 6 wheelchair spaces at both the Alhambra Theatre and St George's Hall. Level access is via Great Horton Road for the Alhambra and via the ramp on Bridge Street for St George's Hall. Please note scooters as outdoor vehicles are not allowed in the venues.
Wheelchair accessible toilets are available at both venues, and there is a low level counter at the Box Office at St George's Hall where you can pre-book and pick up your tickets.
There are 2 platform lifts available at St George's Hall for wheelchair users at standing performances only. The platforms are placed at the back of the auditorium and can be operated by the wheelchair user or carer (there is a staff member on hand to assist and explain the simple procedure in using the lift). Each platform can accommodate 2 wheelchairs and a carer.
Patrons wishing to use this facility can book their tickets in the normal manner mentioning that they would like to use the platform lift. Spaces are strictly allocated in the order tickets are purchased, i.e. on a 'first-come-first-served' basis.
NB. the use of both wheelchair platforms is governed by the technical requirement of the show. You will be advised at time of booking if only one platform is available.
Parking
Designated parking spaces are available for disabled patrons at the Alhambra on Morley Street and on Randall Well Street.
Please access the Morley Street spaces via Great Horton Road at the side of the Alhambra. Drive up to the controlled bollards, press the speech button to talk to the CCTV operator who will request that you show your disabled parking permit, viewed from a camera on the side of the building. For those unable to reach the button, the intercom will activate automatically after a short time. The bollards will be lowered allowing access to the one-way system.
After the show, automatic bollards facilitate your exit via Morley Street. If you are being collected after the performance, please make sure your driver has your parking permit ready to show at the controlled bollards. If you are being collected by taxi, please make yourself known to the House Manager who can arrange for the taxi driver to gain access to the one-way area outside the theatre.
There is a drop-off and pick-up point in the lay-by outside St George's Hall for wheelchair users with easy access up the ramp leading to the stalls level entrance.

Deaf, Deafened or Hard of Hearing Visitors
Hearing enhancement The auditoria at the Alhambra and St. George's Hall are equipped with infra-red audio systems. These enable patrons to independently control the level of volume required wherever they sit in the auditorium. Headsets are available from confectionery kiosks.
Captioned performances
We offer captioned performances for some shows. Captioning is similar to television subtitling and gives deaf, deafened or hard of hearing people access to live performance. The actors' words appear on display units at each side of the stage at the same time as they are spoken or sung. A qualified captioner operates the captions as the action happens on stage so it can be read by hard of hearing attenders at the same time as the actors are saying the words on stage.
Sign Language Interpreted Performances
We offer sign language interpreted performances for some shows. A signed performance is the usual full production with the addition of a Sign Language Interpreter who stands on the stage interpreting the show for deaf attenders.

Visually Impaired Visitors

Audio Described Performances We offer audio description for some shows.
Audio Described performances are designed to improve the experience of visually impaired and blind attenders. As well as listening to the dialogue on stage the visually impaired customer wears a headset and listens to a live description of the action on stage. The description only happens in between dialogue and supplements the voices of the performers in explaining the emotions and action of each scene.
