By Train

Kendal is a short distance from the West Coast Main Line railway station at Oxenholme. The Lakes Line (branch line) connects to Kendal railway station which is within easy walking distance of the Brewery.

Approx times by train to Oxenholme: Lancaster - 15 minutes Preston - 25 minutes Manchester - 60 minutes London (Euston) - 2 hours 45 minutes

There are taxis and regular buses from Oxenholme Railway Station to Kendal town centre and the Brewery (approx 5 minutes journey). The Lakes Line also connects Oxenholme to Staveley and Windermere (The Lake District).

By Bus

Kendal is fully connected to national and regional bus routes. There are regular buses from the central Lakes and towns in the region.

The Brewery Arts Centre is only 10 minutes from Junction 36 of the M6 Motorway. Kendal itself also sits on the A6 and A591 roads. There is ample parking at the Brewery and at various locations nearby in the town (within 5 - 10 mins walk).

Our car park is an important asset for the Brewery. In addition to providing a service for our customers, the income raised from our car park goes to directly support our artistic programme. This is something which, as a registered charity, we depend upon greatly.

The car park is located on our site and on the same level as the main entrance.

Our current parking charges are:
Up to 1 hour £1.20
Up to 2 hours £2.20
Up to 3 hours £3.10
Up to 4 hours £4.00
24 hours £7.00
6:00pm - 9:00am £1.20

Designated disabled spaces are available and, on prior arrangement, assistance can be given to aid transfers from car park to the venue. Visitors with a valid Disabled Blue Badge can park free for up to 3 hours in designated disabled bays.

Motorcycles may be parked for free in designated motorcycle spaces.

Our machines only take coins in the following denominations: 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2

We are unable to guarantee that there will be space in the car park at any time. Should you be unable to find a parking space, there are a number of car parks located close to the Brewery:

The Parish Church (100 spaces) Peppercorn Lane (40 spaces) Highgate (17 spaces) Dowkers Lane (81 spaces) Booths Supermarket (165 spaces)

All car parks listed are within five minutes walk. There are other car parks in the town all within ten minutes walk of the Brewery.

PLEASE NOTE: South Lakeland District Council parking enforcement officers patrol our car park daily. Any fees for unpaid parking tickets will be administered through them.
