Access Guide
Any accessible tickets and requests must be booked via the venue and are subject to availability. They can be contacted via events@unionchapel.org.uk (9.30am to 5.30pm, Monday - Friday).
Accessibility information can be found here: https://unionchapel.org.uk/accessibility
The 3 steps at the main entrance are ramped, the ground floor of the Chapel is fully accessible. Please note we have two wheelchair ramps available. One at the front of the venue and one at the back entrance. It is safest for electric wheelchair users to gain access via the rear of the Chapel, so please confirm whether it is a manual or powered wheelchair when contacting the venue.
Lighting
Please be aware the corridors can appear dimly lit in the evenings.
Stage lighting, which can include LED lighting, will be used for all concerts. Tealights (small candles) are also used for all concerts around the edge of the auditorium balcony.
Building Access
Access is via the main entrance on Compton Terrace (N1 2UN). There are 3 stone steps at the main entrance. If you require ramped access please contact the office in advance so that we can have the ramp ready for you, door staff will also be on hand to provide assistance.
Please note that until the end of 2011 there is scaffold in place at the front of Union Chapel which extends out onto the pavement.
Due to the nature of the building please be aware that the corridors and doorways are often tight or narrow with dim lighting and the floor surface can be uneven. Stewards are on hand to provide assistance but if this might be a significant hindrance we would recommend bringing a career. Carers do not need to buy a ticket but please inform us in advance if a carer will be accompanying you.
