The centre has been taken over by Oasis Operations Limited, a company set up by Moirai Capital investments to provide the very best of the exsiting services and facilities at the Oasis, along with a mouth-watering array of new products and leisure ideas.
The iconic dome and its changing rooms will both be refurbished, as part of a planned programme of refurbishment throughout the building. The reception area will be completely re-modelled and other public areas inside and out will be improved. A new gym and other new areas are on the cards for later in the year.
In the 1970’s, Swindon was the leading town in the whole of the UK for sports and leisure. The facilities are still great, but this refurbishment of the Oasis and the exciting new facilities that are going to be built will put Swindon back as the best sports and leisure destination in the country.
The main hall is now a major venue for touring acts. Standing capacity of 3,000, seating capacity of 1,620. Bar and snack facilities are available at every concert.
