Caspa is a British DJ and producer recognised as one of the important names in dubstep, helping take the bass driven genre from London's underground club culture to audiences around the world. Born Gary McCann, Caspa became associated with the development of dubstep during the 2000s, building a reputation for heavyweight basslines, forceful rhythms and productions created for powerful sound systems and packed dance floors.
His catalogue includes influential tracks, remixes and collaborations that have helped define his position within bass music, alongside releases such as the album Everybody's Talking, Nobody's Listening!. Caspa has also been closely associated with the Dub Police label, which became an important platform for dubstep and emerging producers. His work combines the darker foundations of the genre with an instinct for direct, high impact club music.
Live, Caspa brings his music back to the environment where dubstep achieves its greatest physical impact. Deep frequencies, heavy drops and tightly controlled transitions make his DJ sets an intense experience for dedicated bass music audiences. Whether appearing in clubs, concert venues or at festivals, Caspa offers the opportunity to experience a key figure from the UK dubstep movement delivering music built to be heard loud.
