Lighthouse Family are a British musical duo best known for their warm blend of soul, pop and easy listening, creating some of the most recognisable British songs of the 1990s and early 2000s. Formed by vocalist Tunde Baiyewu and keyboard player Paul Tucker after meeting in Newcastle upon Tyne, Lighthouse Family found widespread success with a melodic sound defined by Baiyewu's distinctive vocals, uplifting songwriting and polished arrangements. Their music has remained a favourite with listeners who appreciate soulful pop filled with optimism and emotion.
Their breakthrough album, Ocean Drive, became a major UK success and produced enduring songs including "Lifted", "Ocean Drive" and "High". Further albums, including Postcards from Heaven and Whatever Gets You Through the Day, strengthened their reputation and delivered more memorable tracks such as "Raincloud", "Lost in Space" and "Run". After an extended period away from recording, Lighthouse Family returned with Blue Sky in Your Head, demonstrating the lasting appeal of their distinctive sound.
Lighthouse Family concerts give audiences the opportunity to hear a catalogue of uplifting songs that have provided the soundtrack to countless memories. Baiyewu's soulful voice brings familiar favourites to life on stage, while the warmth and melodic character of the music creates an atmosphere that can move naturally between reflective moments and uplifting singalong highlights.
