This Is The Kit is essentially the project of Kate Stables, a loose freak-folk collective out of Winchester/Bristol. Since 2006 This Is The Kit have been producing music of quiet introspection and pulsing psychedelia to back Kate Stables earthy stories. 2015’s “Bashed Out” produced by Aaron Dessner of The National and 2017’s “Moonshine Freeze” brought them widespread critical acclaim. Latest album “Off Off On” was released in 2020, expanding the musical palette with production from Josh Kaufman, a multi-instrumentalist who has worked with The Hold Steady and Taylor Swift.
