Veps are a Norwegian indie rock band from Oslo whose melodic songwriting, youthful energy and guitar driven sound have earned them attention beyond their home country. Formed by Laura Dodson, June Urholt, Maja Berge and Kristina Amundsen, the group began making music together while still young, developing a natural chemistry that became central to their sound. Their songs combine indie rock immediacy with elements of alternative pop, creating music filled with personality, melody and emotional honesty.
The band introduced themselves to wider audiences with releases including the EP Open the Door, followed by their debut album Oslo Park. Their music moves comfortably between bright guitar hooks, reflective songwriting and energetic rhythms, while the interplay between the four musicians gives Veps a recognisable identity. Drawing on classic indie influences while retaining a contemporary perspective, the band have established themselves as an exciting presence within Norway's alternative music scene.
Veps concerts bring the spontaneous character of their recordings into a lively stage setting. Guitar melodies, harmonies and energetic rhythms combine with the chemistry developed through years of playing together, creating performances that can shift from intimate indie pop moments to louder rock passages. For audiences looking to discover Scandinavian alternative music and a band with an engaging live presence, seeing Veps in concert offers an opportunity to experience their songs with added energy and immediacy.
