BUS

All Bury Town Centre buses terminate at the bus station, and some stop right at the door of The Met! From the bus station walk just a few hundred yards towards The Met northwards along Market Street.

TRAM

Bury's Metrolink terminus is just a few hundred yards from The Met - and the Tram is a clean and efficient way to get to and from the venue! From the Metrolink station, walk through the bus station north along Market Street.

There is on-street parking in Silver Street and Bolton Street, where there is also a car-park next to the East Lancs Railway.

Venue

Situated in Bury, Lancashire, The Met is a centre of live music noted nationally for its specialist folk music programme incorporating two performance spaces, a restaurant and Edwin Street Recording Studio.

As an independent charity, The Met works to develop a growing audience to experience the arts and nurturing traditional talent to grow into national stars. The Met is organiser and promoter of a number of outdoor events including the annual Ramsbottom Festival.

The Met is an independent arts and entertainment venue run by Bury Metropolitan Arts Association, a company limited by guarantee (No. 2370868) and a registered charity (No. 701879) supported by Arts Council England and Bury Council.

Accessibility

The Met is a fully accessible venue, both on its ground and first floors.

The main entrance is fully ramped with a lift to the main theatre and accessible toilet facilities.

We have staff permanently on hand to help. Should you require a personal escort, we can supply that person with a free ticket.

A magnetic induction loop for hearing aid users is used in the Main Theatre for the majority of our events.

Guide dogs are welcome, and water can be provided upon request.
