The most influential and popular football journalist in the world, Fabrizio Romano, has been announced for a show at the Eventim Apollo in London on Monday 11th December.
An Evening with Fabrizio Romano, hosted by BBC Sports’ Emma Jones, will see Romano tell his own story of how he became football’s most popular journalist, as well as insight into how the modern transfer works, the stories of its most high profile sagas, and current football affairs. The event will also feature an audience Q&A.
With over 50m social media followers worldwide, Romano has become one of the most influential sports journalists in the world as well as the most followed online, and is considered to have the most influential X ( the site formerly known as Twitter) accounts on the platform.
Known for his ‘Here We Go!’ catchphrase when announcing the biggest transfer stories in world football, he has amassed a huge amount of intrigue into how he became a central figure in world football, with his web of connections to clubs, players, agents and intermediaries.
Amongst the various stories he’s broken include transfers involving the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and more.
As well as working for Sky Sports Italy for over a decade, he reports for the likes of The Guardian, and CBS Sports. In 2022 he was included in the influential European Forbes 30 Under 30 list for media and marketing, as well as the 2022 Globe Soccer Award for Best Football Journalist.
