Built To Spill have been around since the early 90’s. Formed by enigmatic front man Doug Martsch, the Boise Idaho group came up in a loose scene which included Pavement and Sebadoh. Doug’s slack twisted guitar jams taking in Neil Young and J Mascis set them apart from their more lo-fi shambling contemporaries. Signing to Warner in 1997, the major label debut "Perfect From Now On" is an alt rock classic.
Right up to 2022’s critically lauded "When The Wind Forgets Your Name", Built to Spill have continued to tour and release records in some form with Doug Martsch being the one constant in an ever shifting line up.
