Accompanying the tour announcement was the revelation of a re-recorded single, "Loser Kid 2.0," which featured the Canadian band Simple Plan. The new version of the song from their debut album brought a fresh spin to a fan favorite.

But the surprises didn't stop there. Busted also revealed plans for an album of re-recorded classics, including collaborations with other artists like McFly, All Time Low, Neck Deep, and more. These collaborative re-imaginings breathed new life into their beloved songs.

The band's reinvigorated sound found success in the charts, with "Loser Kid 2.0" peaking at number 13 on the UK Singles Sales Chart. They continued to release reinvented versions of their classic tracks, including "Meet You There 2.0," "MMMBop 2.0," "Crashed the Wedding 2.0," and "Year 3000 2.0," which featured guest vocals from renowned artists such as Simple Plan, Neck Deep, Hanson, All Time Low, and the Jonas Brothers.

The pinnacle of this revival was marked by "Greatest Hits 2.0," an album featuring re-recordings of songs from Busted's first two albums. The album struck a chord with fans, propelling it to the number one spot on the UK album charts in September 2023, cementing Busted's place as enduring pop-rock icons. Their comeback served as a testament to the band's enduring popularity and their willingness to continue evolving their music.
