Dave Spikey

Dave Spikey is one of the UK’s best loved comedian and actors who hails from Lancashire.

While he may now be best known for his work on Phoenix Nights alongside fellow comedian Peter Kay, Spikey actually spent his early career working as a biomedical scientist in Haematology at the Royal Bolton Hospital!

Spikey met Kay in 1996 and the duo co-wrote hit shows That Peter Kay Thing and of course, Phoenix Nights. Spikey and Kay won numerous accolades for their collaborations including a number of British Comedy Awards.

Spikey has also had great success as a stand up comedian, touring the country and making appearances at The Royal Variety Performance and at the famous Eventim Apollo in London’s Hammersmith. He also wrote and co-starred in ITV’s comedy Dead Man Weeds as well as the BBC’s Magnolia, and became a regular on panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats.

Spikey will be heading out on the road with his Punchlines tour from September 2015 until early 2016.
